FAQ

Can I submit a proposal that doesn't necessarily match the theme of this edition (interdisciplinary research)?

Yes, topics outside of the conference theme will be considered, but preference will be given to proposals related to the conference theme.

Can I attend the conference if my abstract wasn't accepted?

Yes, you are certainly still welcome to attend the conference. Both the pre-conference workshops and the main conference are open to anyone who registers.

How do I register for the conference?

Attendants will be asked to register using the ILTA website from January 2027 onwards. An ILTA account will be required to do so. Should you have any questions about this procedure, you may contact info@iltaonline.com or the local Ghent team (ltrc2027@ugent.be).

Can I attend the conference online?

Unfortunately, no. The conference will be in person only to encourage rich discussions following presentations and networking.

What is included in fee?

The fee includes admission to the conference (Keynote speaker talks, Presentations, Poster sessions, WIPs) , a goodiebag with a printed programme, coffee and lunches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the reception on Monday.

What if I am a presenting author and can no longer attend?

You have three options: (1) transfer authorship to a co-author who will present, (2) retain authorship but delegate the presentation to a registered co-author/colleague, or (3) withdraw the submission entirely.

Can I make a special scheduling request for my presentation?

To ensure a cohesive program, individual scheduling requests will not be granted. Exceptions are strictly limited to documented health or religious obligations and must be made no later than March 1, 2027.
